How do I install Compliance Glossary?

A Confluence administrator installs Compliance Glossary from Atlassian Marketplace, reviews the requested permissions, and opens Compliance Glossary from Apps. The installation event adds the installer to Term Managers. Open Settings to confirm role access before adding terms or scanning pages. Installation is for Confluence Cloud and does not permit the app to edit Confluence pages.

How it works

  1. Open Compliance Glossary on Atlassian Marketplace.
  2. Select Install and review the permission screen for the exact version.
  3. In Confluence, open Apps, then Compliance Glossary.
  4. Open Settings and confirm Term Managers (RBAC).
  5. Open Terms. Select + New Term or Import CSV.
  6. Open Compliance Scanner. Choose Select Space to Scan, then select Scan Space.

Example

A compliance director asks a Confluence administrator to set up one controlled pilot space. The administrator installs the app and confirms the installer under Term Managers (RBAC). The team uses Import CSV for 200 existing terms. Those records begin as drafts. After review, the team opens Compliance Scanner and runs Scan Space against the pilot.

What this does not mean

Compliance Glossary supports Confluence Cloud. Installation requires Confluence administrator approval and an active Marketplace license for administrative use. Review the permission screen for the installed major version. Production v6 includes manifest-approved access to the GitHub API for connector functions. Confluence content access remains read-only; the app does not create, edit, or delete pages.
