Compliance Glossary for Confluence

What happens during the first scan?

The first completed scan establishes page coverage for the selected Confluence space and records supported terminology findings. When the effective glossary is empty, production v6 can surface undefined candidate terms for review. Candidates are not approved glossary entries. Term managers must review, edit, and submit useful candidates through the normal workflow.

How it works

  1. Open Compliance Scanner.
  2. Use Select Space to Scan.
  3. Select the initial governed space.
  4. Select Scan Space.
  5. Review coverage and findings.
  6. Curate useful candidates as drafts, then rescan after approval.

Example

A new governance space has no approved terms. The first scan records which pages were processed and surfaces recurring candidate wording. A manager discards noise, creates two drafts, and sends them for independent review. A later scan uses the approved glossary.

What this does not mean

First-run candidates are suggestions from observed content. They are not authoritative definitions, legal advice, or approved terminology. Human curation and review remain required.
