Compliance Glossary for Confluence

What happens when the license is inactive?

Administrative and evidence workflows stop when the production license is inactive. Production resolvers fail closed before governed writes, scans, exports, connector work, or enterprise evidence operations. The narrow continuity exception is approved read-only glossary macro content. Existing page and inline macros can keep showing approved terms without enabling administration.

How it works

  1. Open an administrative workflow.
  2. The resolver checks the production license before work starts.
  3. An inactive license returns an error.
  4. Existing macros continue reading approved content.
  5. Renew or restore the license before resuming administration.

Example

A license expires while approved glossary macros are embedded in controlled pages. Readers can still view the approved definitions. A manager cannot approve terms, run scans, export evidence, or start enterprise operations until the license becomes active again.

What this does not mean

Macro continuity is intentionally narrow. It does not grant administrative access, scanner access, exports, connector work, or evidence mutations. It preserves approved read-only page content only.
