Compliance Glossary for Confluence

What is a glossary slice?

A glossary slice is the frozen subset of approved meanings used by one retained artifact. Production v6 derives it from indexed usage evidence in a deposited baseline. The slice includes the artifact hash, archive reference, meanings, usages, counts, and its own SHA-256 value. It is not the organization's full glossary.

How it works

  1. Open Enterprise evidence workspace.
  2. Select the deposited baseline and artifact.
  3. Confirm its usage evidence is indexed.
  4. Select Download glossary slice.
  5. Check the artifact, archive, counts, and slice hash.
  6. Attach the slice to the required external handoff.

Example

A controlled procedure uses six approved terms. Its glossary slice contains those six frozen meanings and the matching usage observations. It excludes unrelated organization terms. The external document-control owner receives a smaller, artifact-bound package for review and reissue.

What this does not mean

A slice reflects deposited, indexed usage evidence. It can be incomplete when coverage or indexing is incomplete. It does not replace the full glossary, certify the artifact, approve reissue, or execute signatures.
