Compliance Glossary for Confluence

How do I import glossary terms from CSV?

Open Terms, select Import CSV, and upload a structured glossary file. Production v6 validates headers, row limits, field lengths, duplicates, and supported values before creating governed records. Imported terms do not bypass review. Teams must inspect validation results, correct rejected rows, and approve accepted content through the normal workflow.

How it works

  1. Open Terms.
  2. Select Import CSV.
  3. Choose the structured file.
  4. Review validation and duplicate results.
  5. Correct rejected rows and import accepted records.
  6. Submit the imported terms for review.

Example

A team imports 120 policy terms. Five rows have duplicate names and two have invalid lifecycle values. Those rows remain visible as errors. Accepted records enter the governed term workflow and still require review before approved use.

What this does not mean

CSV import accelerates record creation. It does not establish that a definition is correct, resolve conflicting source meanings, or approve terms. Teams remain responsible for source quality and review.
